The General Commission on the Pastoral Care of the Sick and the Social Pastoral Ministry met on 20-25 November 2016 at the General Curia, attended by Brother Benigno RAMOS animator of the Commission, Brother John OPPONG, Brother Joseph Yanka SHARMA, Brother Gustavo MUCHIUTTI, Brother André Sène and Mrs Susana QUEIROGA.

The Commission focused above all on two agenda items:

The reports on the pastoral care work in various regions to see whether the objectives set by the Commission for the present Sexennium had been met, or would be met shortly.

The strategies to be implemented by the regions to publicise and disseminate the document that had been drawn up as a guide and to facilitate an understanding of the document on the Order’s Pastoral Care of the Sick and Social Pastoral Ministry.

The Commission decided to gather together all this information before the next meeting which will convene in November 2017.
